Apparently I am more focused on my advocacy than on my name! One time in the middle of a contentious judge-alone trial in the SCJ, the judge returned after a break and apologized profusely, admitting that she had just discovered that she had been "mispronouncing" my name over the past few days. I am not sure what is harder to believe, the fact that I did not notice, or the fact that someone was actually able to correct her! I suppose the story has a dually happy ending: my client was acquitted three hours after we finished submissions. ;)
